October 28, 2017, 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM @ Everett Police Department
The City of Everett in collaboration with the Everett Community Health Partnership - Substance Abuse Coalition will once again be sponsoring a National Drug Take Back Initiative at Everett Police Department. Everett residents are encouraged to drop off any unused or expired medications for safe disposal. This is part of national effort to take back prescription drugs. Everett, like many other communities in Massachusetts, has been greatly impacted by the opioid epidemic. Take Back Days aim to provide a safe, convenient and responsible means of disposing of prescription drugs and over the counter medications, while also educating the general public about the potential for abuse of medications.
Everett residents are encouraged to make use of the two drop off locations year round: The Everett Police Department maintains a drop box in the lobby 24/7 (45 Elm Street), and Everett Health Department drop box is accessible during City Hall hours at 484 Broadway, 2nd floor.
