SWEEPING SET TO BEGIN APRIL 1St –
AVOID THE “TICKET AND TOW”
- With the change in seasons comes the annual
Street Sweeping and Clean Up effort by the
City. Starting on Friday April 1st, 2011
Street Sweeping Rules and Regulations will
officially take effect. As in previous years,
vehicles parked in violation of street sweeping
signs will be ticketed and towed. (read

PARKING STICKERS AVAILABLE JANUARY 3RD.
Mayor Carlo DeMaria Jr. and
Paul Kelly, Parking Clerk announce the 2011
Resident Parking Stickers will be available
starting Monday, January 3rd. Everett residents
can receive the sticker Free during the
months of January and February. All residents
must bring in the old sticker along with
the vehicle’s registration. Registration
must have an Everett address. The Parking
Clerk is located on the first floor of City
Hall. City Hall is open Monday from 8:00
AM to 7:30 PM, Tuesday – Thursday
8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and Friday 8:00 AM to
11:30 AM.
The parking clerk is an appointee
of the mayor, with the approval of the city
council. The power and duties of the parking
clerk are outlined in the Massachusetts General
Laws, Chapter 90, sec 20A1/2. In short, the
parking clerk maintains and records all parking
violations, applies payment and late fees
as deemed on parking violations and holds
hearings where parking violators can be heard.
The parking clerk also issues residential
parking stickers and visitors placards. |
