Everett residents can begin cleaning out their attics and garages in preparation of the first ever City Wide Yard Sale. The sale will be held Saturday, May 20th and is open to all city residents.

Similar community yard sales in surrounding communities have proven to be a big draw of outside visitors looking for bargains.

As part of the City’s 125th Anniversary, Mayor DeMaria and the Chamber of Commerce are coordinating the event and will provide maps showing the location, hours, and some of the items available at participating residences. There is no cost to participate or to be included on the map.

Registration forms can be picked up at the City Hall, the Chamber of Commerce office, or the Parlin and Shute Public Libraries. The form can also be downloaded from the anniversary’s website, www.everett125.com/citywide-yard-sale-application/.

Forms must be returned to the Chamber of Commerce at or City Hall by 5:00 p.m. Monday, May 8 in order to be included on the map. The maps will be available shortly thereafter at Everett City Hall, the Chamber of Commerce office, and at the Everett Public Libraries, as well as online at www.everett125.com.

Participants are reminded that signs should only be posted on private property with the owner’s consent and that it is illegal to post signs on city utility poles, street sign poles, or signal light poles. For more information about the City Wide Yard Sale, contact the Chamber of Commerce at 617-387-9100, or visit www.everett125.com.
