Parlin Library Holds Its 20th Annual Scholastic Chess Tournament

On Saturday, April 29th, the Parlin Memorial Library will hold its 20th Annual Scholastic Chess Tournament.

On Saturday, April 29th, the Parlin Memorial Library will hold its 20th Annual Scholastic Chess Tournament. Sign-ins will take place at 9:30 AM, and the competition will be held in age categories at 10 AM. Players must be up to 18 years old to participate. Walk-ins are welcome, but reserve now to save your seat.

Light refreshments will be served when morning rounds are complete. Championship rounds will be held in the afternoon. The day will conclude with an awards ceremony at the end of the championship rounds. Trophies will then be awarded to the top players in each category. Parents, friends and general observers are welcome and are encouraged to attend the recognition program.


If you have any questions, please call the Parlin Library at 617-394-2302. The library is located at 410 Broadway Everett. This is not a USCF rated event.  No admission fee is required. The Chess Tournament is sponsored by your Friends of the Everett Libraries.
