Free Senior Movie Matinee for February

Mayor Carlo DeMaria and The Council on Aging have planned the following movies for your pleasure.

Mayor Carlo DeMaria and The Council on Aging have planned the following movies for your pleasure;

February 2: “Snowden” starring Joseph Gordon Leavitt, in this biographical drama about Edward Snowden. Snowden and employee of the NSA leaks illegal surveillance techniques to the media and eventually to the world.

February 9: “The Way We Were” a classic love story starring Robert Redford and Barbra Streisand, between a Marxist Jew and a carefree Wasp on the cusp of WWII. Their friendship endures as they take up the social causes of the era.

February 16: “Light Between Oceans” Starring Michael Fassbender as an Australian Light house keeper, who finds an infant floating in a boat. He and his wife take and grow the baby as their own.

February 23: “Birth of A Nation” (2016), starring Nate Parker as Nat Turner. In August 1831, Nat Turner, a slave, leads a violent rebellion to free himself and others during this dark period of American History.
